Dalle parole della produttrice esecutiva, Julie Plec, apprendiamo che uno dei protagonisti…
…è destinato a lasciare il serial, definitivamente questa volta, e si tratta di Jeremy Gilbert/Steven R. McQueen.
La 14esima puntata della stagione in corso (USA) segnerà l’addio definitivo di Jeremy a Mystic Falls; apprendiamo la notizia con un pò di amarezza perchè ci eravamo affezionati al suo personaggio; dalle prime indiscrezioni il personaggio non dovrebbe morire, ma semplicemente si allontanerà “definitivamente” dalla città (come già accaduto tra l’altro in passato).
“It’s time for him to go out and live his life and we’re actually going to say goodbye to Steven R. McQueen as a series regular. He’s growing up and moving on. He will be out living a real life.”
“We’re in the third act of our storytelling of the show, Everything that we’re doing is moving towards the end. Over the course of the next few years, we will need to start having the characters make choices about what they want with their lives and say goodbye to some people. It’s all part of moving toward the end, however long that takes.”
“He could show up at weddings, funerals and series finales for sure, but this journey is taking him to another place.”
La produttrice ci avvisa che siamo entrati nel terzo arco narrativo dello show, e che la storia nei prossimi anni volgerà alla sua naturale conclusione, non escludendo poi il ritorno occasionale di Jeremy in cameo per delle occasioni speciali.
